Golden Fleece was a Melbourne-based petroleum and service station brand founded in 1893 by shipowner and merchant Harold Crofton Sleigh, together with manufacturer and shipowner John McIlwraith. It traded under the Golden Fleece name until 1981 and remains a true Australian icon, often still found hanging in work sheds and garages.
